Chaia is from Mineral City, a rural town in Ohio, but currently lives on a small farm in Lyndon Station. After serving in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and being honorably discharged from the United States Army, she has spent her time really focusing on her career in veterinary medicine. Chaia is a proud member of Phi Theta Kappa has an Associates of Science and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2021. She has over 4 years of clinic experience and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Science and Veterinary Technology through the University of Missouri online. Chaia started here at Sunrise in 2022 and really enjoys the fun and happy atmosphere. Being a member of a team that has the best interest for both the client and patients is a huge bonus for her. She is eager to keep growing as a technician and has a strong desire to maintain the best quality care for companion animals. Future goals for her include animal husbandry and teaching clients about their own fur babies! Speaking of fur babies, Chaia has quite a few! For dogs she has a goldendoodle named Gentry, a spaniel mix named Redford, and an english setter named Cody. On the farm she has market hogs, beef cattle, and both laying and meat chickens.

She lives with her son Ryker, her significant other, and 3 more bonus children Aydin, Ashton, and Owen. Outside of work Chaia enjoys caring for her animals, being a mother, ice fishing, and being a part of 4-H with the kids!
