Mary-  is one of our small animal veterinarians here at Sunrise. She grew up in Elkader, Iowa on a hobby farm with dogs and horses. As early as kindergarten, Dr. Mary made the decision to be a veterinarian when she grew up. She followed through with her childhood ambition and graduated from the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006.  She worked in a mixed clinic in Richland Center for 10 years before starting at Sunrise in 2016. She enjoys all aspects of her job from puppy/kitten visits to sick patients. Her goal has always been to help pets live their healthiest lives.

Dr. Mary lives in the countryside with her husband and two kids. They own 3 horses, a dog (Molly), and two cats. She enjoys horses and has even competed in some endurance trials. In her free time she enjoys trail riding with her kids, cross country skiing, and hiking.
